Achilles tendon six weeks after the second surgery
Six weeks have now passed after the Achilles tendon keyhole surgery. It seems that I am still on schedule, what comes to being able to start running after six weeks. I tried jogging and it went fine and I could run a bit faster as well. Shot put did not cause any problems either and even felt rather good. So, it is time to start increasing the rhythm. As you see from the picture, the tendon is still somewhat swelled. Currently I am able to do squat to an angle of 90 degrees. That has improved by some 20 degrees per week for the past weeks.

Dear Sir,
Last Saturday I had an acute repair of my Achilles tendon under local anaesthetic at the John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford and am now immobilsed in a cast.
I should like to ask if I might write to you with a few questions concerning my and your post operative care.
My regards,
Francis Rockliff
