It was a great year at least for myself. New PB on decathlon and fourth place on Finnish Championships. Athletics season was fairly short for me but full of good results. Compulsory picture of a Christmas tree. One more day to go. It’s two day’s rest unless I’ll go skating etc. It all depends on the snow situation in Helsinki. Now we have around 0 degrees so let’s see how it goes. On Sunday it should be a bit colder again.

Santa’s little helpers are happy people. They’re right now observing all the children and reporting all the good and bad behaviour to Santa. Presents will be delivered correspondingly; be aware!
You may find required results for taking part to Finnish indoor championships here. The “easiest” ones for decathlonists would be long jump (700), 60m hurdles (8,70) [...]

Here are two straw bucks. They are a Finnish tradition. You can find more information on them and on Santa Claus etc. here.
Today we run the Cooper test (12min of running). I did 3160m and Pekka 3060m so pretty close to my goal. I run almost to the half way on 3km pace and then [...]

Christmas calendar made in Helsinki has to have a picture of Helsinki Cathedral or Tuomiokirkko as it’s called in local language. It can be seen when approaching the city from the sea. And there you have a Christmas tree as well in the picture.

It’s a Finnish tradition to bake a ginger bread house for Christmas. The funniest part is to eat the candies while baking. You can free your inner architect and design the house of your dreams.
Btw. Lyon lost yeasterday for the first time in French league this season =(.
